Josef Zámečník trumpets

Josef Zámečník has been native of the town Úsobí, which is located in Českomoravská vysočina (Moravian Highlands). He received also his basic musical education here, as his grand-father and father were practising musicians. He studied at Prague Conservatory and further at Academy of Arts in Prague.

He devoted himself to learning of Baroque music first during his years of studies, both within his soloist performances (usually trumpet – organs) and within his participation in the chamber orchestra of his own, which has been representing the Czech trumpet art at home and in abroad already from the year 1979. He is leading the brass ensemble of Cathedral Trumpet Players by the Cathedral of St. Vitus in Prague at the present time.

He has been dedicating his time to educational activity as a chamber music educator and a teacher of trumpet playing at Jan Deyl Conservatory in Prague since the year 1996. Ha taught within musical courses in Caracas (Venezuela) together with Prof. Pošta and several other Czech musicians.
